The hit-making creators of "The Avengers" clued in Marvel fans after suddenly dropping a huge bomb in the form of a "Spider-Man" trailer. While short, the trailer showed the British wall-crawler prancing around his hometown, dealing with police forces and -- with an unmistakable "Iron Man" armor flying with him side by side -- Tony Stark joining him in a battle.
Entitled "Spider-Man: Homecoming," the story further elaborates on "Spider-Man" Peter Parker's daily life as a student and now as a superhero. The youngest in The Avengers and allied to "Iron Man" Tony Stark, fans first saw him in "Captain America: Civil War" where he fought against other SHIELD heroes. It does feel like a sucky start for him given he's seeing these heroes do good on TV and now he was called to fight against them.
According to The Sun, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature legendary 90s "Batman" and 2015's "Birdman" actor Michael Keaton as "Vulture." Keaton's character Adrian Toomes was ripped off during a business deal and lost everything -- turning him into a supervillain pillaging Peter Parker's hometown. "Vulture" uses a specially-designed harness that allows him to fly, shoot micro missiles and eject sharp blades against his foes
The trailer had also clued us in that "Spider-Man's" suit has "web-wings". According to Wired.com Science Writer Rhett Allain, "Spider-Man's" wings will not function the way they were illustrated in the first trailer for "Homecoming" as he was evading police forces. He has gone on to elaborate on his theory meticulously for the nerdy Marvel fan.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set to reveal how did Tony Stark end up meeting Peter Parker in New York before "Civil War." In the "Amazing Spider-Man" comics, Peter Parker is revealed as a genius. Bitten by a radioactive spider that alters his own DNA, he gains new abilities -- which he enhances to super-strengths by designing a suit that protected him with magnified lenses, further formulas to strengthen his web and a sense of humor that has become the "Spider-Man" trademark.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will show in theaters on July 2017. For more news and updates, stay tuned!
