Twenty One Pilots, Blink-182, Demi Lovato, Chance the Rapper and Producer Mike Will Finally Nominated For A Grammy

Grammy Awards 2017 list of nominees was revealed second week of December. Every year, this awarding ceremony is the most awaited event in the music industry and among singer-performers in Hollywood. It draws a huge attention and sometimes major controversies around the globe. Grammy awards recognize music as Emmy Awards honors television, stage performance by the Tony Awards, and Academy Awards for motion pictures.
Billboard reported the five surprising first-time Grammy nominees. This includes the band Blink-182, the genre -defying duo Twenty One Pilots, singer songwriter and actress Demi Lovato, Chance the Rapper, and Mike Will.
Blink-182 was nominated for 'Best Rock Album' for their work California alongside with Cage the Elephant (Tell Me I'm Pretty) , Gojira (Magma), Panic! at the Disco (Death of a Bachelor), and Weezer (Weezer). On the other hand, Chance the Rapper was also chosen in 'Best New Artist' category alongside with Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers , Maren Morris and Anderson
According to Latimes, Twenty One Pilots was nominated for 'Best Rock Song' for Heathens including David Bowie (Blackstar), Radiohead (Burn the Witch), Metallica and songwriters James Hetfield & Lars Ulrich (Hardwired), and Highly Suspect with songwriters Rich Meyer, Ryan Meyer & Johnny Stevens (My Name is Human)
Demi Lovato's album, Confident was nominated for 'Best Pop Vocal Album' together with Adele (25), Justin Bieber (Purpose), Ariana Grande (Dangerous Woman), and Sia (This is Acting). Lastly, producer Mike Will was also recognized for the category 'Album of the Year' for Beyoncé's Lemonade.
Reports also revealed that Beyoncé leads the list with a total of nine nominations. Followed by Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West with eight nominations for their hard work while the first-time nominee Chance the Wrapper picked up seven categories.
