Winter has come! After six full seasons and many years of waiting, winter has finally come. With the return of the world phenomenon TV series "Game of Thrones", we will not only see Khaleesi or Jon Snow because UFC President, Dana White confirmed in a Fox Sports Live interview, that the Irish UFC Champion, Connor 'The Notorious' McGregor will be gracing us an appearance in the seventh season of "GoT" that is scheduled a release date on June 2017.

It is known that the two executive of "Game of Thrones", David Benioff and Dan Weiss, were avid fans of UFC as reported by AVClub. It's been months since the showrunners has extended an invitation to the brash Irish fighter for a role. No word came from McGregor regarding the proposal until today where he is confirmed to sign for a role of a cameo in the hit HBO series.

"I knew a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show. I'm glad he did it," said White. "It will be great. The show is huge. It's awesome, and I'm excited for him."

It was previously reported that McGregor was involved with ActiVision earlier this year, where he showed his voice acting talents for the new game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare". There is no official announcement on what will be the role of the Irish fighter, but according to a report from Watchers on the Wall, a fan site who scours for new about "Game of Thrones", McGregor will be an iron born pirate in Euron Greyjoy's crew aboard the ship Silence.

Connecting the dots between "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and McGregor seemed weird to many. However, there are few instances that we can link McGregor to the show. Liam Cunningham, the Irish actor who played Sir Davos Seaworth, goes to the same gym as McGregor. McGregor also had a friendly sparring session with 'The Mountain'.

To the avid fans of McGregor, there is nothing to worry about McGregor giving up his career to pursue an acting career. Watcher on the Wall stated that the ultimate fighter will be on the show for a short time and will soon be back thrash talking and breaking bones inside the octagon.
