‘Star Wars 8’ May Just Have Gotten A Title; Disney Accidentally Leaked It?

With the success of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," fans of the franchise just cannot wait for the next movie to come. Star Wars 8 is still very silent about its details.

For the mean time, the fans are appeased with the release of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" — a spinoff film. Almost one year from now "Star Wars 8" will be released and the fans are so eager to know even the title or release date.

Well, Disney might have leaked the title inadvertently as per MovieWeb. Lucas Films has filed a trademark to the EU Intellectual Property Office. The trademark was for "Star Wars: Forces of Destiny." The title was noticed to be included in the other "Star Wars" inspired items.

It is not 100 percent sure that the said title is for "Star Wars 8." The presumed title sounds more like a game than a movie title. Tale of the "Jedi and The Order of the Dark Side" is two possible titles. The

Disney has seen the potential of Lucas Films back in 2012, so it has bought all Lucas Films for $4 billion. The movie outfit has projected that it can produce more movies of the same kind.

The two movies from Lucas Films shown this year were all blockbuster hits. Expectedly, more "Star Wars" movies will be produced. Disney has reportedly gone into the planning stage of Star Wars 8 and the succeeding movies. The upcoming movie will be released on Dec. 15, 2017.

"Star Wars 8" will retain the previous cast. They are John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Mark Hamill, Benicio Del Toro, Adam River and Laura Dern.
