Motorola has confirmed that Moto M will be receiving the Android Nougat soon, but as to which update it will get is yet to be determined.

Motorola’s Moto M was released in India last December 13, Tuesday, and in a tweet by the company, they announced that the OS was coming to the device. It is most likely to be the 7.0 update but there are rumors according to Gadgets 360 that it will be the 7.1.1 since it came to Nexus and Pixel devices recently too.

If it will be the former update, the Nougat 7.0 hosts a whole list of new features as stated in its official website. One of them is the additional 72 new emojis to the 1, 500 plus emojis that currently exist.

There is also a multi locale language setting which enables users to use more than one language at the same time. To add to that, there is a multi window view which allows one to use two apps at the same time (i.e. watching a video and texting simultaneously) while still switching apps easily.

The graphics for games and other apps are sharper too and there is a Virtual Reality mode. These are all very well and good, using the phone’s 5.5-inch IPS display, 2.5D curved glass, and full-HD 1080x1920 pixels resolution to its fullest.

Furthermore, not only can you change the text size on your display but the icon sizes as well. This will come in handy for those who need glasses just to type in a message or look for the Facebook app amidst dozens on the screen.

Other features are a doze mode which saves battery power whilst the device is inside a pocket or a bag, the bundle notifications which displays notifications without necessitating an app to be opened, and a notification direct reply which allows the user to reply to notifications without opening an app making everything easier and more efficient.

Nougat 7.1.1 offers even more features than the 7.0. Follow Motorola’s twitter page for more updates.
