Floyd Mayweather has some scathing tirade to Conor McGregor. The two has bad blood after "UFC 205" concluded where McGregor raked two champion ship belts.
"The Notorious MMA" fighter Conor McGregor recently obtained a boxing license in anticipation of a big bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr.; however, the retired boxer says he need not have gone to the trouble. In an interview with FightHype, "Money" was quoted saying that he do not fight in California. He further insinuated that McGregor's boxing license in California is of no use.
Mayweather went on saying that the UFC champ is just blowing smoke up everybody's butt. He said that McGregor does not really want to fight because he already asked his boss. He further said that McGregor is just keeping his name alive to stay relevant. Mayweather said McGregor is smart but said that he is not willing to have a fight with him and just building followers.
The bout between these two superstars is a long shot but it will be immense when it happens. At present, the only battle taking place is the word war between these two. Recently, McGregor publicly humiliated Mayweather in his post-fight celebration when he said that the boxing champ is afraid to take him to a boxing fight. He further added that he will only fight Mayweather in a boxing match if it pays him $100 million.
Dana White, UFC President was quoted saying that 50 Cent informed him that Mayweather is serious about boxing against McGregor. He further said that he doubts the fight between these two could take place because based on Pacquiao-Mayweather timeline, it almost took forever to happen considering they both belong in the same sport. McGregor, now, is taking time off to be with his pregnant girlfriend, after his winning his second title belt in the UFC.
