After Apple Watch users complained about the latest watchOS software update, Apple deferred the version 3.1.1 update. The watch users said a red exclamation mark is displayed directing them to the Help page of the Apple website.

In the statement of Apple cited by IBT, the company urged the users to contact them if there are impacts caused by the problem. They also announced that the team is troubleshooting for another update.

"A very small number of Apple Watch customers experienced an issue while installing watchOS 3.1.1, so as a precaution we've pulled back the software update. Any customers impacted should contact AppleCare, but no action is required if the update installed successfully. We are working on a fix for an upcoming software update," Apple announced.

Meanwhile, Fortune cited that the Apple Watch problem was exposed when Series 2 users disclosed the issue on social media. The first edition Apple Watch owners also experienced the same thing which added fuel to the fire.

The users said the restart button does not function which made them visit the Apple stores and have their items repaired. After reviewing the matter, Apple announced that the new update has been suspended. Thus, the watchOS 3.1 remains the most stable version for the meantime.

When pressing the exclamation mark that appears on the screen, the link directly leads the user to the Apple website, the users exclaimed. In the statement, Apple suggested that the users need to force restart their watches if this happen. Hold and press down both the side button and digital crown for about ten seconds. If the reset button fails to solve the problem, the Apple Watch users are recommended to contact the Apple customer service.

Apple's watchOS 3.1.1 was supposedly a minor update for bug fixes and new emoji. Though Apple runs some tests before releasing new software updates, there are still bugs that are unforeseen.

Meanwhile, Apple has already notified some users that are having item replacements due to the impact. They said that the replacement is free of charge.
