After already two years of having CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother” wrapped up Ted’s tale on meeting his spouse, “This Is Us” co-executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger plan to bring the spin-off series for “HIMYM.”

This news landed after two years that the series starring Greta Gerwig, “How I Met Your Dad,” didn't make the screen. It didn’t air due to the agreement on terms for redevelopment, according to The Deadline. “How I Met Your Father” would be told through a woman’s point of view. The mother perhaps will tell the story next.

“How I Met Your Mother” focused on Ted (Josh Radnor) along with his five pals Alyson Hannigan (Lily), Jason Segel (Marshall), Cobie Smulders (Robin) and the legendary Neil Patrick Harris (Barney.) The story centered in an architect, Ted Mosby telling his two kids the very detailed story of how he met their mother. Sadly for fans, no “How I Met Your Mother” original cast would be back on the spin-off.

“How I Met Your Mother” creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas will only serve as executive producers on the expected love comedy series alongside Aptaker and Berger, according to TV Line. The fact that Bays and Thomas had no contract with Sony, they may leave Aptaker and Berger to take the steer.

CBS stated on Deadline that this will just be a normal spin-off in the case that just like Ted on “HIMYM.” In “How I Met Your Father” case, it will be the mother story-telling this time. Recreating a system twice will truly be a risk since fans consider “How I Met Your Mother” hard to top off. But still following the reactions of fans on the ending of “How I Met Your Mother,” this spin-off may end on a slightly different note.

With "How I Met Your Mother" having comedy and touching hearts and emotions at the same time would be tough to recreate but still, people will just have to wait and see if it will be like the first series, also to be legen--wait for it---dary.

There is still no luck on a stated date of release. Fans would just have to stay tuned for more updates.
