Camila Cabello has released her own statement after leaving Fifth Harmony. The “Work From Home” singer said that she was “shocked” to read the statement from the other girls, and the Internet is going crazy after fans realized that their Jingle Ball performance on Dec. 18 was their last as a group of five.

The 19-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to post a lengthy statement about her decision to leave Fifth Harmony, saying that she was proud of everything that they have achieved as a group. But Camilla Cabello added that she was surprised at what Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei said about her departure.

“I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing,” said Cabello, adding that the girls were all aware of her feelings throughout their conversations during the tour. “Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true.”

On Monday, the remaining four girls took to the photo sharing app to say that after four and a half years together, they “have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony.” They also said that they will continue with the group as well as their solo endeavors.

Meanwhile, the Internet is abuzz over Camila Cabello leaving the group, and Billboard has compiled some of the best reactions from Twitter. One fan wrote that the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” singer leaving the group was like “March 25 all over again.” Music fans know that the date coincides with Zayn Malik’s split with One Direction in 2015.

Others waxed sentimental about the girls’ journey, with one noting that they had their first performance in Miami, and they finished as a group of five in the same place. Some couldn’t believe what happened and are extremely saddened about the situation.

“I’m actually crying about this, I didn’t think it would hit me this hard,” tweeted another fan.

Some have written comments on Camila Cabello’s Instagram post, saying that they will continue to support the singer in her future projects.

“Always with you Camila, we love and support you always, just be happy,” said one of her followers.
