Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart may have started it all, but the moguls are not the only female celebrities who have successfully built business empires on the side. In recent times, several female actors and reality stars have come up with very successful lines ranging from clothing, wine, cosmetics, and the like, and they have shown that they are truly a force to be reckoned with not only on the screen but also in the competitive business arena.

Bethenny Frankel

Frankel became well-known due to her tell-it-like-it-is attitude on “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Soon, her net worth increased after she founded the Skinnygirl Margarita brand and sold it for over $100. Since then, the mother-of-one has expanded her brand to include snack foods such as pizza and protein bars.

Kate Hudson

The romantic comedy queen founded Fabletics in 2013, and the brand sells women’s sportswear and accessories. What started as an online subscription retailer soon expanded into several brick and mortar stores in selected locations in the United States, with more stores scheduled to open in the coming years. In February 2016, Forbes reported that Fabletics plans to open 75 to 100 stores over the next three to five years.

Drew Barrymore

The actress and producer has branched out with her production company called Flower Films, as well as a makeup line called Flower Beauty.

Reese Witherspoon

Though the “Legally Blonde” star is one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood, that didn’t stop her from pursuing her other passions such as her new clothing line, Draper James. The brand honors Witherspoon’s Southern heritage, and 40 percent of her products are made in the United States.

Kylie Jenner

Though she’s still in her teens, the reality star increased her net worth with her Kylie Cosmetics line. According to Forbes, Kylie Jenner earned $18 million last year, and a fraction of this is due to the success of her Kylie Lip Kits.
