Uber is again on a hot seat, and this time it involves the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Travis Kalanick. He was involved in a heated argument with an Uber driver. The CEO admitted his mistakes and said that he needs to grow up. Kalanick’s scandal was caught on video.

Bloomberg released a video wherein Kalanick was seen in the back of an Uber car, arguing with his driver. In the video, the driver asked about the lower fares and then Kalanick angrily responded to it. Now that the video is out in the open, Kalanick apologized and owned up to his mistakes.

Kalanick sent an apology note to all his employees, which is later published as a blog post. In his statement, he took liability for his behavior. Aside from that, he admitted how ashamed he was for being disrespectful to the driver. He also mentioned that his behavior is unlikely of a leader.

“It’s clear this video is a reflection of me—and the criticism we’ve received is a stark reminder that I must fundamentally change as a leader and grow up. This is the first time I’ve been willing to admit that I need leadership help and I intend to get it,” Kalanick said in his note.

The Uber driver, Fawzi Kamel, told the NBC News that it does not matter to the company if the driver is not making the minimum wage. Kamel even added, “The worst part is, they call us partners, [but] they make the rules, set the price and they even choose the cars you can use,” as reported by Time.

Meanwhile, Jobs & Hire reported that Uber is blocking their employees at work from chatting using the anonymous application called, “Blind.”
