Workers Reveal Their Most Embarrassing Job Ever

People who get their dream jobs will often talk about their careers with pride, and will often reference their line of work on their social media posts. However, some jobs are best kept out of one’s resume as they can be truly embarrassing even to those who don’t seem fazed by anything at all.

Workers took to Reddit to share their most embarrassing job ever, and some of them will merit a slight grimace, while some are truly are cringe-worthy. Most of the Redditors have kept these jobs a secret from family and friends, as they were deemed to shameful to be revealed to their nearest and dearest.

Without further ado, here are some of the most embarrassing jobs ever.

Condom company mascot

One commenter revealed that he was tasked to give out free condoms at the beach. And if that wasn’t awkward enough, he was also dressed as a sperm. Moreover, he was tasked to “give a speech” to every condom recipient.

Another Redditor wrote, “I was the Chick-fil-A cow…One time I got a bloody nose while in the suit. I got it off as best as I could, but I still ended up cleaning blood out of a cow costume…I never felt more like a serial killer.”

Subway station counter

Reddit user del_bratfish said that he had to stand on the stairs at a subway station and count how many people use it within 3 to 5 hours.

Toothpaste promoter

FilipaM said that while promoting a new toothpaste at a supermarket, she would invite people to brush their teeth at a portable sink.

“It was disgusting,” said the Redditor. “I saw blood, I got spit on by accident, I saw a lot of people removing their dentures and washing them and trying to shake my hand after.”

Tanning salon cleaner

AngryEngineer912 said that he took the job in exchange for free tans instead of money. However, the job turned out to be quite revolting for the Redditor as he had a hard time wiping the mess left by “naked, sweaty, oiled up people.”

Hooters girl

Bekah13 said, “People always get the mental image and never look at you the same way again.”
