The Happiest Place On Earth According To World Happiness Report

Adolf Brandon, a psychologist from Michigan University says that many people are dreaming of going to a place that gives them adrenalin rush and happy memories. "People are burn out with their work, hence they are planning for a vacation to kill their stress and just enjoy, so they are ready to pay for a happy place", Brandon said.

Anita White, a certified traveler stated that she loves to travel and be expose to a different culture, and for her, it gives her happiness.

Brandon explains that people from various sectors have a different definition of "happy place" but, according to a website, happy place really do exist.

World Happiness Report says that among the English speaking country, Canada who placed sixth is the happiest place to stay with. US come on 17th place.

Denmark, followed by Norway, Switzerland are the top three when it comes to European happiest place.

While on Asia, Philippines place on 92 while India ranked on 111. The said report conducted their survey in 60 countries all over the world, ending with the mentioned countries as the happiest.

The report added that with the increased of economic growth and GDP in Sub- Saharan Africa and Latin America, this boost the people's positive view which is reflected on their visitor acceptance.

In addition, the report states that the single factor that affects one's view of happiness is the condition of their mental health.

Therefore if one is depress, sad, and extremely negativist, there is a big tendency that they do not view life as something that is worth living for. "Mental health has long been defined as an influential factor that affects health" Dr. Brandon explains. He added that depression, and other behavioral problems must be treated, as this will affect not only the mental status, but also the physical condition.
