The competition for the Miss Universe 2013 evening wear was held some days ago, with the 86 lovely delegates wearing stunning gowns that will help them be closer to the crown. Who wore the best gowns and who won the said part of the competition? Read along to find out.

For the candidates, wearing an evening gown that will leave the kind of glamorous image is an important aspect in winning Miss Universe 2013. The dashing contestants made sure to be at their gleaming best during the fitting and photo shoot of the evening gown competition, and some ladies stood out among the rest.

Miss USA Erin Brady wore a slim-fitting white backless gown with sparkling details on the hem. Her long-sleeved style is reminiscent of what last year's Miss USA Olivia Culpo wore when she won the crown last year. Will the "conservative look" help her reach the semi-finals? We'll have to wait for the coronation night to find out.

Another one who opted for the long-sleeved look is Miss Venezuela, Gabriela Isler. The 25-year-old looked like a fairy with the abstract sequin detail of her sheer gown that has a mermaid silhouette. The Venezuelan beauty also rocked the runway during the pageant's Tom Ford fashion show, which makes her one of the best bets to win the evening gown competition.

Miss Australia, Olivia Wells, looked breathtaking in a sheer, lace number with a metal belt that served as an empire waist. Her figure looked perfect in the hourglass silhouette and brocade surrounding her arms and neck. Miss Philippines Ariella Arida's gown has a royal blue hue with a venus-cut neckline and a corset top. The simplicity of her gown is detailed by crystal brooches and details that pop out from afar.

Who among these stand outs will win the evening gown competition? Find out on the coronation night on November 9 in Moscow's Crocus City Hall.
