UFC fighter Shane Del Rosario died Thursday, ending his two-day battle against a heart attack. The UFC fighter had reportedly suffered from cardiac arrest two days earlier at his home, Yahoo! Sports reported Thursday.

ESPN reported that after suffering from a sudden heart attack, Del Rosario was rushed to Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach, California Tuesday. The hospital recorded that the UFC fighter has "no brain activity remaining." Doctors were expected to make a decision Friday whether they are to continue his life support.

A statement from the UFC fighter's manager, Jason House, said that Del Rosario was resuscitated in the emergency room but he remained to be in critical condition for the succeeding hours.

On Thursday, Colin Oyama, the fighter's coach, posted via Facebook a note that confirmed Del Rosario's death. "The Del Rosario family and I, and all of our family, teammates and friends, thank everyone for their prayers and support. God has a different path for Shane to take and instead has chosen to take him away from us to be with his forefathers in heaven," the post read.

Later that day, UFC Commissioner Dana White tweeted. "RIP Shane Del Rosario."

The 30-year-old fighter came to UFC from Strikeforce. His record was 11-2 in MMA and 0-2 in UFC.
