"Duck Dynasty''s cast members rallied around Phil Robertson Thursday, just a day after A&E suspended the family patriach over controversial anti-gay and anti-black comments in a GQ magazine inerview.

"While some of Phil's unfiltered comments to the reporter were coarse, his beliefs are grounded in the teachings of the Bible. Phil is a Godly man who follows what the Bible says are the greatest commandments: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart' and 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Phil would never incite or encourage hate," the Robertsons shared in an official statement regarding their head's suspension.

The family also expressed their concern for the future of "Duck Dynasty."

They expressed their disappointment that Phil had been forced into hiatus for openly expressing his beliefs, which is Robertson's lawful right. Despite the success they've had working as team with A&E, they said that they cannot imagine "Duck Dynasty" surviving and moving forward without their patriach supporting them in the process.

The Robertsons' also shared that they are currenty in talks with A&E regarding the future of "Duck Dynasty" and the effect of Phil's absence to it.
In the January GQ issue, the partriach of the Robertsons said that homosexuality is a sin and could be categorized alongside bestiality and promiscuity.

He described homosexual relations as a sin, saying "It's not logical, my man. It's just not logical."

When the "Duck Dynasty" star was asked to explain what he thought was sinful, Robertson replied that homosexual behavior is the root of all evil and all sinful actions stem from the act including bestiality and sleeping around.

Robertson continued to explain that homosexuals weren't the only issue, there were also the adulterers, idolaters, homosexual offenders, drunkards, swindlers, slanderers, male prostitutes and the greedy who would not be inheriting the kingdom of God.
