Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo remains doubtful for the first leg of their upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final showdown with Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo missed Real Madrid's 2-1 victory against Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey finals due to an ailing knee and thigh injury, but most analysts believe that the club just took a precautionary measure in preparation for their upcoming match against Bayern.

The 29-year-old forward said in an interview that he is feeling better, but he admitted that is still unsure whether or not he will be fit enough to play on Wednesday.

"I'm getting better, now I don't feel any pain," Ronaldo said. "I might be back in time for next Wednesday or perhaps the second leg of our Champions League tie. Bit by bit, I'm feeling better and what I want more than anything is to be able to help the team out as soon as possible."

Ronaldo, who revealed that he tried to play in the Copa Del Rey finals because of the prize at stake, had nothing but praises for his teammates and coach Carlo Ancelotti for bagging their first trophy of the season.

"The team was great, they knew how to dig in and deserved to win because they created more chances," Ronaldo said. "I'm very happy. The manager also deserves congratulations because he picked a good team."

Veteran defender Sergio Ramos is hoping that their remarkable win against Barcelona, which was highlighted by a solo game-winner from Gareth Bale, will make them more confident in their upcoming Champions League semis match.

"Obviously this will give us a big moral boost for the remainder of the season," Ramos said. "We need to continue in the same vein because we have to play in the Champions League next week. We are really grateful for all the love from our fans. Hopefully they will wait up for us in Madrid because we want to celebrate with them."

Real Madrid advanced to the semis after defeating Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals. Atletico Madrid and Chelsea will collide in the other semi-final pairing.
