The main worry for the victim of the death hoax, Joel Ladrido, was what will happen if their parents would discover the horrible news. At the time they arrived to Joel sister's house, who was the reported to be the relative that died, they spotted a fire truck and six police vehicles on the area who responded to the emergency call he made during his call via 911.

During those moments of panic, Joel Ladrido got a shocking phone call from her sister's phone number, discovering that sje was still alive. Joel's only reaction was saying if her sister was still okay and where she was at that time.

The death hoax Facebook post was discovered by the couple saying that Joel sister's died, came while they were having dinner.
