Boston Celtics News and Rumors: Did Rajon Rondo Make a Pitch to Kevin Love?

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love spent his weekend in Boston, fueling speculations that the Minnesota Timberwolves is trying to know what it feels like living in the city.

Love's recent visit to Boston also stirred talks suggesting that the All-Star power forward is considering moving to the Celtics once his contract with the Timberwolves expires or via trade this summer until next season's trade deadline.

Love was also seen talking to Rajon Rondo, which led to reports indicating that Celtics superstar point guard tried to convince Love to move to Boston in the near future.

Rondo has been pushing for the Celtics to make improvements this summer, but 28-year-old playmaker insisted that he did not talk to Love about the possibility of playing together in Boston.

"I didn't pitch anything," Rondo said via The Boston Globe. "I just told him to enjoy his time here. When I was at the game, some people came up to me and told me Kevin was sitting in some really nice seats. I didn't know I would see him. I saw him as I was exiting the game."

Rondo admitted, though, that acquiring a player like Love would improve the team drastically, but he quickly added that all reports at this point of the summer are all speculations.

"I think we'd be a lot better if we had a guy like Kevin," Rondo said. "He's a shooting [power forward]. He's going to help us out on the glass, obviously. But this is all speculation. Nothing's happened."

And for his part, Rondo, who averaged 11.7 to go along with 9.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds in 30 games this season, still sees himself wearing the white and green next season.

Rondo, who will also become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2015, has been mentioned in several trade rumors over the past several months, but the eight-year veteran remains firm on his previous stance, saying that he wants to finish his career in Boston.

"I don't like change, really," Rondo said. "I'm pretty comfortable. I have a beautiful home here. I love it. I have great neighbors. I don't want to leave, but it's part of the process that I'll talk about once the season is over. As of now, I'm a Celtic."
