Taylor Swift is perhaps one of the most successful singers in her generation. After all the Instagram and Twitter favorite Hollywood celeb has won a number of Grammy Awards to prove her talent and popularity, among others. However, it's already been several months since Taylor Swift had a boyfriend, so could she be open to dating actor Orland Bloom, who is said to be determined to pursue her in every way?
According to the San Jose Mercury News, Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr's ex-husband Orland Bloom is very interested in dating Swift. Yup! The hot guy from "The Lord of the Rings" who slayed his enemies with his second-to-none archery skills is pretty much desperate to go out with the "Red" singer.
Gawker and the National Enquirer also exposed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is quite desperate to secure a date with Swift that he has been bombarding the latter with text messages and phone calls just to ask the Grammy-winning singer out.
"Orlando has been bombarding Taylor with text messages and phone calls, begging her for a date," an insider close to Swift revealed to the National Enquirer. "But she's been playing hard to get. She's flattered because she thinks Orlando is so sexy and, in normal circumstances, she would leap at the chance."
Meanwhile, although the 37-year-old Hollywood actor has been anything but shy in showing his interest on the "You Belong With Me" singer, Taylor is somehow hesitant to give the actor a chance since she may find an enemy in Selena Gomez, who is said to have the biggest crush on Bloom.
Of course, Selena is reportedly rekindling her romance with her scandalous "Baby" hit maker boyfriend Justin Bieber, but Swift feels that she might hurt Gomez's feelings if she goes out with Miranda Kerr's ex.
"She's looking for a serious relationship," an insider said of the 24-year-old "22" singer's desire to find someone who is willing to get serious with her. "She doesn't want to be just another notch on his belt. Taylor knows that Selena is nuts about Orlando and wants to have a real relationship with him. Yet all he seems to want to do is ask her about Taylor!"
Interestingly, Daily Mail reported that Orlando Bloom recently moved into a New York City building, where Swift is currently residing. Sources even claim that this is Orlando's way of showing how serious he is when it comes to dating Swift.
On the other hand, an insider said that Bloom's decision to move into his new $4.8 million three-bedroom apartment does not concern Swift at all. It is said to be his means of easily co-parenting his three-year-old son, Flynn, with his former Australian supermodel wife, who is living on the Upper East Side of the city.
Both Orland Bloom and Taylor Swift and their reps are yet to comment on the issue.
