Why iPhone 6's Release Date Will Be Delayed; Details On Luxury Variants of New iPhone Revealed!

Sorry Apple fans! The iPhone 6's release date is said to have been pushed back by the Cupertino-headquartered tech giant due to manufacturing issues.

Because earlier reports have pointed out to a September 2014 release date for the iPhone 6, many are left stunned and shocked when tech website MacRumors dropped the disappointing news this week that the iPhone 6 will not be available until October this year.

Insiders have come out recently to dish that iPhone 6 fans who want to get their hands on the new smartphone as much as possible will have to wait a little bit longer since the big company is eyeing an October 14, 2014 official release date.

However, this does not mean that fans should also wait until October to get a glimpse of the newest iPhones.

Sources said that Apple will still be presenting the new techie device this mid-September. The problem though is that they won't start rolling it until the aforesaid date above.

The news about the delayed iPhone 6 release date just comes after Trendforce revealed that Apple hasn't really increased their orders of sapphire glass from manufacturers.

It can be noted that earlier speculations, leaks and reports have announced and confirmed that Apple will be using the rock-hard technology on their smartphone screens as well as on the lenses of the cameras and the Touch ID.

"The sapphire material is still being applied in new generation Apple smartphones camera lenses and fingerprint recognition readers," a Trendforce analyst said, adding, "If the new iPhone keeps up Apple's previous smartphone models hot selling records, sapphire demands will be driven by the smartphone's applications till the end of this year."

"However, the much anticipated sapphire cover glass remains missing from the picture. Analysis of the iPhone 6 supply chain indicates related component suppliers need to ship products to OEMs for assembly in June 2014 to meet the September launch date," the analyst then dished, noting that manufacturing issues have led to the decreased volume of sapphire glass available for Apple to use.

On the other hand, another iPhone 6 news has started to circulate this week. And this time, it talks about the luxurious variants of the highly anticipated iPhone 6 handsets, which are reportedly more expensive than its standard and original version.

Luxury retailer Brixx has already updated its site and announced that three glamorous variants of the iPhone 6 will be available from them.

There is said to be a 24-carat golden iPhone 6, a platinum coated variants and another diamond-encrusted version.

All three luxury variants are also expected to start rolling this fall, but they are obviously for the wealthy market only as the cheapest out of the three is valued at $4,500 while the most expensive, which is presumably the diamond-encrusted one, will be priced at $8,785, reported Tech Radar.

In contrast, the standard iPhone 6, which is going to pack an Apple A8 processor inside the 4.7-inch screen, is said to be valued at $944.
