Sylwia Rajchel: Selfie Causes Polish Tourist To Fall To Death From Spanish Bridge

Sylwia Rajchel selfie - A tourist has died in Spain after falling off a bridge while attempting to take a selfie on her cell phone.

23 years old Sylwia Rajchel, a Polish citizen, reportedly died from injuries she sustained after slipping and falling off the 'Puente de Triana' bridge in Seville, Spain. 

Sylwia Rajchel is believed to have landed on a concrete base after falling 15 feet from the bridge, which is a popular location among tourists visiting the Southern city of Spain.

According to reports, Sylwia Rajchel was a nursing student at the University of Medicine in Posada, south of Poland.

Bernadeta, the 44 year old mother of the victim, said her death is hard to believe. She described Sylwia Rajchel as a 'beautiful, smiling girl who had her whole life ahead of her.'

Bernadeta says that her daughter's holiday in Spain was a dream come. She had reportedly been planning the trip for a long time and had even learnt Spanish as she hoped to migrate to Spain sometime in the future.

Seville Police described Sylwia Rajchel's selfie accident, which subsequently caused her death as tragic.  Authorities say that they are planning to make the area where Sylwia Rajchel selfie accident occurred safer.

Reports indicate that after Sylwia Rajchel selfie slip from the bridge, she was rushed to the Hospital of Trumatology where she went into cardiac arrest. But the aspiring nurse was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed there.

The Triana Bridge where Sylwia Rajchel fell from while trying to snap a selfie is regarded as one of the most photographed landmarks in Spain. The popular Seville tourist site was built in the 19th century and is currently surrounded by bars, restaurants and clubs.
