Kirstie Alley: Actress Conquers Weight Problem After Losing 50 Ibs

Kirstie Alley - Actress Kirstie Alley has lost weight again- this time an impressive 50 Ibs which she proudly showed off on The Today Show.

Reports indicate that the 63-year-old returned triumphantly on the NBC's morning news program, where in April 2014 she vowed to lose 30 Ibs before her next appearance on the show.

This time Kirstie Alley feels she has not only surpassed her goal but has finally 'conquered' her tough struggle with weight gain.

"This time I thought, 'What is the goal?' and 'What is the time span of the goal?' I really looked at it as,'This is my life until I am dead. I am going to keep this, this way,' instead of like,' I lost 50 Ibs., now I can do whatever I want," Kirstie Alley said. "I don't have that anymore."

The Golden Globe winner literally could not wait to show off her new slimmer frame. On Sunday, she posted message on social media urging her fans to watch the show and see her flaunting her new look.

"Doing shows this week to show off my new skinny ass...see you first up tomorrow AM on The Today Show...Where's MATT Lauer? NOT under my butt," Kirstie Alley tweeted.

Kirstie Alley says she was inspired to lose weight because she wanted to get back to acting more movies.

"I really want to do more acting and I want to do more movies...and I thought, "How do I want to see myself on film?" I think it's really important for everyone to decide how they want to see themselves, and I like to see myself looking more svelte."

"It's a big question, how the hell does someone keep gaining weight. That's the screwed up part of me. But I feel I've conquered that now."

Kirstie Alley said in order to achieve her goal she had to be innovative.

"I got a yellow townie bike and I ride over to friends houses. I bribe people. I'll say,' Let's ride to this restaurant and I'll pay for dinner, she said. "And believe me: If I bike four miles to a restaurant, I don't wreck it with my order!"

Kirstie Alley has been a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig from 2004 to 2007, in which time she lost 75 Ibs. The Cheers star went back to the Jenny Craig diet plan and her Organic Liason line in order to lose weight.

"I came back to the Jenny Craig program to get back on track with my weight loss. It was simpler this time and everything just clicked. I wanted to get back my best self," Alley said. "There's this certain place I got where I felt really energetic and agile. I was like, I want to keep going with this!"
