Giada De Laurentiis, the renowned celebrity chef, recently denied cheating rumors involving "Today" show's host Matt Lauer, Food Network chef Bobby Flay and musician John Mayer. The romance gossips came after De Laurentiis announced her divorce with husband Todd Thompson, who is a fashion designer, FOX News reported.
After Giada De Laurentiis announced her separation last week, the 44-year-old chef has been accused of cheating on her husband with several men. According to New York Post's Page Six, the Food Network star has been allegedly hooking up with NBC's Matt Lauer during the filming of a show's segment in Barbados.
However, the story, which was published in Star magazine, has been denied by De Laurentiis. Another cheating rumor also came up and this time it involved another Food Network star and celebrity chef Bobby Flay. Gossip Cop learned that De Laurentiis' 11-year marriage might have failed because of the alleged affairs with Flay, Mayer and Lauer.
But Giada De Laurentiis responded to the never-ending rumors saying that she never had an affair and her relationships with Flay and Lauer were purely friendships. She also rejected gossips involving Mayer and stressed that they're have never been romantically involved.
"I have never ever been romantically involved with John Mayer," Giada De Laurentiis exclusively told Gossip Cop. "I met him twice at least 5 or 6 years ago at public events along with hundreds of other people. The small amount of face time with John was in rooms filled with other attendees at these events. I have not seen or even heard from him since. The allegation of an affair was a fabrication back in 2010 and remains so today."
"My long-time friendships with my co-workers Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay are exactly that -- long-time friendships," the celebrity chef added. "There has never been a romantic relationship with these two men."
Meanwhile, a "Today" rep told FOX News that the Lauer report was false. And Mayer's rep said the allegations were "ridiculous."
"This story is false, period," the rep said. While Mayer's rep told E! News, "The claims are absolutely ridiculous."
Giada De Laurentiis and husband Todd Thompson separated in July. But De Laurentiis only announced the split last week, The Daily Mail reported. The couple have one child, their six-year-old daughter Jade.
