Madonna Hacker Under Arrest?! Alleged Suspect For Leaking Madonna’s Songs Online Seized In Israel

Madonna Hacker Arrest - On Wednesday, Israeli authorities seized a man who was allegedly responsible for stealing and leaking Madonna's music online. The arrest came after an intensive undercover investigation helmed by the FBI along with the cybercrime unit of Israel.

Israel's FBI-resembling organization, Lahav 433, has led the Madonna hacker arrest after a month-long of complex investigation. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the suspect was a 39-year-old Israeli national who was liable for hacking into the computers, stealing the music and distributing it online with a charge.

Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld told NBC News that Madonna was not the only victim but also several international artists. Though he would not identify any of the recording artists, he revealed that the investigation was carried out after one of the artists involved sent out a complaint about the alleged hacking.

The Madonna hacker arrest came after 13 unreleased tracks from the Queen of Pop's "Rebel Heart" album were leaked online. After the tracks were illegally distributed online, the pop singer decided to officially release at least six of the tracks, which have topped the iTunes album chart. The hacking made Madonna furious and even called the crime as an "artistic rape" and "a form of terrorism."

Several weeks ago, Madonna's team contacted an Israeli private investigator, Asher Wizman of Wizman Yaar Investigations, a Tel Aviv-based firm, to launch a probe into the issue after speculations spread that there was an Israeli link to the leak.

"Our investigator found her computers, at home and at a studio, were broken into from a computer in Israel," Wizman told Reuters, as quoted by Biz News. "We tracked down the computer, and the man behind it. After gathering enough evidence, we turned to the police and he was arrested today."

Though there have been an official court order about the suspect's identity, Billboard revealed local reports already made claims the arrested Madonna hacker was a former contestant of one of the most popular singing contest on TV in Israel. As of the moment, there are no reported charges against the suspect have been filed yet.

The Madonna hacker arrest came a day after Bjork was forced to release her upcoming album "Vulnicura" on iTunes two months ahead of schedule after it leaked over the weekend, BBC reported. Meanwhile, Madonna is due to perform at the Grammy Awards next month. And she is also rumored to appear at the Brits.
