Meghan Trainor, a One Direction fan? In a recent interview, the 21-year-old Grammy-nominated singer revealed that she has a crush on a member of the famous British boyband, One Direction.
Earlier this week, Meghan Trainor was asked by Capital FM if who among the One Direction members she would like to have a date with on Valentine's Day. The "All About That Bass" hitmaker openly admitted that she would pick "the blonde one," Niall Horan, because "he's a gentleman."
"All the other boys walked by and he came up to me, I got swept off my feet [by his Irish charm]!" she revealed. And when asked what type of guys she is usually attracted to, the American singer-songwriter responded, "I like normal people. I like funny, normal, nice people. I like those!"
During the interview, Meghan Trainor also shared about her experience with another One Direction member Harry Styles, who she had collaborated with in writing a song.
"He's very normal," Trainor stated. "I had the best time with him. He made me laugh [and] we kicked out the engineer and just had our time together and wrote this amazing song. And he had the same comedy as I did!"
Meghan Trainor and 20-year-old Harry Styles wrote an acoustic love song, "Someday Maybe." In BBC's Radio 1 interview, Trainor admitted that it's still uncertain if and when the track would be released given Styles' commitment to the band. People also revealed that the collaboration made a "cute acoustic love song."
"I was worried he'd just be a 20-year-old boy, so I walked in with a prepared voice and chorus," she shared. "But he gave me very poetic, mature lyrics. I was like, 'Well, damn, Harry, you know what love is.'"
Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor confessed that though her "All About That Bass" hit single is about embracing your curves, she won't be exposing them on a show, on the red carpet, in music videos or onstage. According to FOX News, Trainor insisted on keeping her own body covered up.
"I was told that I started the booty song movement but no one knows what my booty looks like," she told The Daily Mail. "That's the trick, it's all about the mystery. I save that for my boy. Well, for whoever gets to date me one day."
"I told them you won't see me in a bathing suit," "Lips Are Movin" singer added. "I love when Beyoncé and all those girls wear those body suits, but I don't like showing the vagina area. I don't like pointing it out; I don't know why. I like to keep that a secret for my future hubby."
