Asshole Brown: Comcast Changes Customer's Name To "Asshole Brown" After Decision To Cancel Subscription

Asshole Brown - A Spokane, Washington Comcast customer wasn't very pleased after receiving a bill - the amount wasn't the issue, but the fact that the cable company had changed his name from Ricardo Brown to' Asshole Brown'.

The whole situation seemed rather bizarre - too fantastic to be true - and too accurate to be a typo. The bill was dated on the 17th January.

According to blogger Christopher Elliot, Ricardo's wife Lisa Brown said her family had no problems with the company, expect her recent calls to have them cancel the cable portion of their bill.

Lisa Brown said the company makes the cancellation process very difficult for their customers. She claims that after several calls to Comcast, she was transferred to a retention specialist, who tried to convince her to change her mind and sign a new contact.

"I was never rude," Brown said."It could have been that person was upset because I didn't take the offer."

The Brown family said the bill directed to "Asshole Brown" is insulting, and to make matters worse they tried unsuccessfully to contact the Comcast via the phone and even visited their office to have the   name changed.

However, since the 'Asshole Brown' incident came to the notice of Comcast authorities, the company has since issued an apology to the Brown family for the unforgivable discrepancy.

"We have spoken with our customer and apologized for this completely unacceptable and inappropriate name change," Comcast spokesman Steve Kipp said.

"We have zero tolerance for this type of disrespectful behavior and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine what happened. We are working with our customer to make this right and will take appropriate steps to prevent this from happening again."

Comcast is looking to make amends for the "Asshole Brown" bill. The company has promised to correct the name and has refunded the Brown family for their two years of service. Comcast even offered the Brown family another two more years of service for free.
