Bruce Jenner's Monday appearance came after it was announced that he is set to appear in a two-hour no-holds-barred interview with Diane Sawyer. According to the Daily Mail, the tell-all will air on April 24, Friday at 9 p.m. as part of "20/20" Special Edition on ABC News.
The photos of Bruce Jenner, who has been constantly the target of sex change speculations following his divorce with ex-wife Kris Jenner, showed him wearing a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and red nail polish, People noted.
Known as the Kardashian-Jenner patriarch, Jenner has often made headlines after he has been gradually changing his appearance to a more feminine form. In recent months, we previously reported that several reports claim Jenner is undergoing gender transition.
Aside from the most recent breast implants rumors, the former Olympian has been seen growing his hair out and painting his nails. He also has undergone a laryngeal shave procedure to flatten out his Adam's apple and had rhinoplasty to sculpt his nose into a more feminine shape.
As the speculations about his transformation intensified, Bruce Jenner's stepdaughter Kim Kardashian recently exposed her stepdad wearing a hosiery Spanx. During Sunday's night episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" Season 10, Kanye West's wife told older sibling Kourtney about her observation.
"I swear to God he had Spanx on, manx," Kim said, as quoted by another Daily Mail report. "Everyone in this family wears f***ing Spanx!"
Meanwhile, CNN Money revealed other details about Bruce Jenner's upcoming tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer. As stated in the article, ABC confirmed Monday that the special titled, "Bruce Jenner - The Interview," would be "far-ranging" and "exclusive." However, the topic of the interview was not disclosed. Still, many celeb news outlet continue to claim that Jenner's interview with Sawyer will be about his decision of becoming a woman.
"Bruce's primary goal is to bring awareness to this issue in order to help others [in the transgender community]," a source told People. "[Bruce] wants this to be taken seriously so that [his situation] can have the most positive impact on society's perception of the transgender community."
If Jenner becomes a transgender, the news will be an important moment for transgender equality groups like GLAAD, which advocates for fair media depictions of the LGBT community. But as of the moment, GLAAD has a warning.
"ABC has not confirmed that this special is about Bruce Jenner's gender identity, so we strongly urge media outlets to not speculate about the details of the interview," GLAAD's director of communications and special projects Nick Adams stated via an email message.
As the rumors continue to spread like wildfire, Bruce Jenner has yet to comment about the speculations and the confirmation about his transition. But is the Kardashian-Jenner patriarch now ready to come out in the open?
