Will 'Divergent: Allegiant' Stars Theo James And Shailene Woodley Be More Than Friends?

"Divergent: Allegiant" stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley, who play Four and Tris respectively, have an unquestionable on-screen chemistry. This is the main reason why fans are awaiting and hoping for the two Hollywood stars to be together soon.

Aside from author Veronica Roth's "Divergent" series followers, much of the success of the screen adaptation can be credited to the sizzling chemistry between its lead stars, as per Movie News Guide.

Although the two have been rumored to be involved with other people, James is reportedly hoping to have more things to come for him and Woodley.

"In a nice way, Shai and I - it's a slow burn. We are 100 percent good friends, but it's a slow burn thing; I think there's still more to come. At least I hope so," he said.

Woodley and James only have positive things to say about each other, whether they are interviewed together or separately.

Glamour News further detailed how Woodley and James talked about their characters' personality in "Allegiant." Theo has this to say when asked about Four's relationship with Tris: "They're co-dependent, in a good way. Tris is in no way the damsel in distress but that doesn't detract from Four being a masculine character. They're two people in love but broken by the situation they're in."

"They go from a burgeoning love story to two people genuinely in love," the actor added.

Meanwhile, Shailene talked about why 'TrisFour' works, saying: "People love that they support one another so much and respect one another. It's sexier to see a couple that aren't all over each other. There's no point where Tris questions how Four will validate her. It's about recognising who they are and how they can support each other."

Realty Today reported that fans of the two stars are wondering why they haven't hooked up yet, despite their easy rapport and working chemistry. Although they have since declared they are good friends, this does not imply that they're not affectionate to each other.

"She's probably a much better person than I am. I was impressed by her level of ethical ability to kind of strive to be a better person, like with her environmental issues. Shai is 100 percent genuine in her way and very real. She really does those things in a way that puts us all to shame," James voiced out.

In other related news, author Veronica Roth discussed about how the simulation scene in "Insurgent," due to come out in Digital HD on July 2, opened a whole new perspective into the way she viewed the power of cinema.

Roth said, "In the movie, you can show [the series of simulations] in such great detail, and they can become so much bigger, and so much cooler, and so much stranger than you ever imagined. So for me, that's been the best part of seeing this movie get filmed, is just how huge and crazy the world has become," as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

"Allegiant" is roughly a year away from hitting movie houses, but fans are already very eager to see Four and Tris gracing the big screen once again.
