'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7: What's More To Come In Mystic Falls? [Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS Ahead]

This is is it die-hard fans of "The Vampire Diaries." Season 7 is fast approaching. Buckle up and get some fresh deets on television's favorite "hot" vampire siblings, Damon and Stefan, minus beautiful Elena (sigh), who took Sleeping Beauty's place, so to speak.

When actress Nina Dobrev announced she was leaving the show this year, Team Delena was left with a broken heart. How can "The Vampire Diaries" go on without its essential character? How will Damon cope without the love of his life?

Flashback to Season 6, aside from Elena sleeping, Stefan declared his feelings for Caroline, Matt was patrolling the town, evil Kai was dead, and Alaric was devastated for the death of his wife and unborn child.

Well, season 7 is set to fill in the gaps and make Mystic Falls come "alive" again.

At the recent Comic-Con 2015 panel for the hit TV series, so many questions were raised for "The Vampire Diaries" stars Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, Kat Graham, Michael Malarkey and executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries.

TV Line revealed awesome details to some of the fan's questions like what would happen to Damon? Ian Somerhalder dished that the "sexy, volatile, fun and dangerous" Damon you met and fell for in Season 1 will come back in Season 7.

Julie Plec, executive producer, said, "The challenge for Damon is that Elena said to him, 'Please live your life and be who you are.' But we know who Damon is. So for him, it's 'Who am I without this girl right by my side?' We're going to see a lot of naughty Damon trying not to be naughty.'"

Will Team Steroline take off? Plec promised, "A lot of very unexpected twists and turns. The fun of this couple is that they're just getting cemented in their romantic status. As we left it off, he said, I will be here when you're ready.' She's trying really, really, really hard not to be ready." Also, "shirtless stuff every episode."

Candice Accola added, "I love a good slow-burning relationship that you get to watch build. I really like [Stefan and Caroline] together. The few scripts we have read, I'm really excited for you guys to see."

To cap off, Enzo will be choosing sides between Lily and the Heretics or with his BFF Damon. Michael Malarkey said, "It's a struggle for him."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will also present a new villain, Lily's family of witches who are also vampires, hopefully to top Kai, the best villain yet in Mystic Falls history. Caroline Dries said, "It's going to be exciting and gruesome and violent."

Perhaps the biggest mystery is about Damon and Bonnie's friendship. Will it continue to grow in Season 7?

US Magazine has learned about Kat Graham's reaction to Elena's predicament: "I thought it was a really clever way to keep Elena there and keep her presence there and keep the door open in a lot of ways for her to come back. But it also created an interesting dynamic going into Season 7 for Bonnie and Damon and them to have to deal with the fact that Bonnie's alive and Elena's not."

So, is Team Bamon coming soon? International Business Times reported that Damon and Bonnie will maintain a platonic relationship for now, since both of them has lost someone really close and are on the process of healing and moving on. Their friendship will remain strong; however, it might not mean that they won't encounter bumps along the way.

Nevertheless, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 gives viewers more reason to stay glued on the TV set when it premieres on Oct. 8, Thursday.
