Louis Tomlinson's baby — One Direction's Louis Tomlinson will be taking on another role besides occupying the hearts of every Directioners'. The British lad is anticipating the arrival of a little tot with Briana Jungwirth, a Los Angeles-based stylist.
A common friend of the two told People, "Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends and this has brought them even closer."
Tomlinson and Jungwirth, both 23, met earlier this year through mutual pals after his break up last March with longterm flame Eleanor Calder. The couple was seen often together in May.
The same friend spilled that Tomlinson has promised to be a hands-on dad and to be supportive of Jungwirth when the baby is born next year.
She further said, "They are both really happy and although they aren't in a relationship, their friendship is extremely strong and they are both really excited about the baby. It's early days and Briana and the baby's health are the most important things right now."
With the baby news spreading, Directioners took to Twitter to voice out their reactions. Entertainment Weekly revealed that the fans' reactions ranged from denial to those who found it unbelievable. Some even echoed the "no control" joke, while others took a swipe at Tomlinson's sexuality.

According to ABC News, this year has tested the strength of British boy band One Direction. In March, Zayn Malik departed the band in the middle of their On The Road Again tour, which sparked a lot of reaction from Directioners and netizens alike. Tomlinson said in April that the group will not disband despite losing one member. He said this amid the launching of his own record label.
At the time, he said, "This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time, and to be given the opportunity to potentially give new artists a platform is an incredible feeling."
For now, Directioners await the official word from Louis Tomlinson himself about the baby news that hounds him.
