Rob Kardashian Health — On Wednesday night, the Kardashian and Jenner clans reunited for one very special event, Caitlyn Jenner's ESPY Awards celebration. And though nine of Caitlyn's children attended the show for support, 28-year-old Rob was noticeably absent.
Rob Kardashian's health, particularly his depression and weight gain problems, has recently been the center of the Kardashian family drama. And as he battles against these issues, Rob became a constant target of controversies because of his reclusiveness. Now, he's back in making headlines as he ditched Caitlyn's ESPY event.
The reason for Rob Kardashian's absence remains unknown but some are speculating that it's because of his health. While others are also pointing out the fact that Rob was apparently left in the dark regarding Caitlyn's transition and debut as a female on Vanity Fair's June cover. According to Daily Mail, Rob was confused when sister Kim Kardashian sent him a series of text of his stepparent's magazine cover.
Even though Kim said that Rob called Caitlyn and the two "had a love fest" over the phone, a source told Hollywood Life that Rob isn't going to deal with all the craziness of the ESPY event, where Caitlyn Jenner was honored with the "Arthur Ashe Courage Award."
"Rob isn't going to join the rest of the family at the ESPY awards to support Caitlyn. He's just too caught up in his own world to pull himself together and show up," an insider exclusively said, "He says no way is he going to deal with all that craziness."
Public appearances are very rare for the youngest Kardashian sibling these days and the last time he was seen was during a late night fast-food sighting on June 22. The reason? Rob Kardashian's health issues.
"He's depressed and embarrassed about how he looks as well," a source explained. "He also hasn't even talked to Caitlyn that much since the transition Rob hasn't gone to a single event in a year — not even Kim's wedding — so he's not going to start tonight. He will probably post a supportive tweet but that's about it."
Meanwhile, Caitlyn Jenner has been very emotional when she thanked her family for their overwhelming support on Wednesday.
"I never wanted to hurt anyone else, most of all my family and kids," Caitlyn said during her acceptance speech, "I always wanted my children to be proud of their dad. You guys have given me so much support and I'm so so so grateful to have all of you in my life. Thank you."
In other news, Rob Kardashian's Arthur George sock line has a new competitor — Rihanna. Rob and RiRi now have something major in common after the latter collaborated with flamboyant sock brand Stance, MTV revealed. And to celebrate their collaboration, two limited edition styles have been released.
Despite Rob Kardashian's alarming health issues, his mom Kris, 59, recently denied reports that Rob had checked into rehab, claiming the reports were totally untrue.
