Demi Lovato is engaged? After being chosen to be Iggy Azalea's bridesmaid, the singer seems to be thinking about walking down the aisle with longtime boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama.
In an interview with a New Zealand radio station Wednesday, 22-year-old pop star Demi Lovato candidly talked about her love life, Daily Mail revealed.
"If he asked [to marry me] tomorrow I would say yes," the "Frozen" singer told ZM radio. "I am very, very in love with him. [But] I think -- we will probably wait a little bit longer."
Despite being together for more than five years, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama said the relationship has not been easy for them. The pair revealed that they had been through rough times, ET Online reported. And Lovato admitted that their 13-year age gap raised some eyebrows when they first started dating.
"I was 18 and he was 30 so people were definitely judgmental and even my parents were kind of, 'Why is someone his age wanting to date someone so young?'" the singer said. "And after a while everyone around us started to see that what we have was real and incredible and very special, and we've been together ever since. Obviously my family loves him [now]. People kind of stop doing that because you can see when we're together or even just from our Instagrams that we're very sweet to one another."
Demi Lovato, who is ready to be engaged, has been very open about her personal problems and her 2010 confinement to rehab. While she struggled with addiction, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and cutting, Valderrama was by her side and was involved in her recovery, Us Weekly has learned.
Meanwhile, Lovato is preparing for Iggy Azalea's wedding, as she is one of the latter's bridesmaids.
"She's pretty chill so I can't imagine that she'll be one of those brides that'll be super particular," Lovato said. The singer also shared on her Instagram a photo from Azalea's surprise engagement to basketball player Nick Young several months ago.
In line with Demi Lovato's rumored engagement, when and where will her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama pop the question remains a mystery. However, the proposal wouldn't be the singer's first. As previously reported, a 5-year-old boy joined the singer on stage and proposed to her with a ring back in October.
