"Suicide Squad" Movie Update - Ever since Warner Bros. Pictures revealed that the anti-hero movie, "Suicide Squad" is underway, excitement intensified as major spoilers began to leak online. Now, curious fans are still keeping tabs on what to expect from its trailer, cast and, of course, from supervillain Joker.
"Suicide Squad" movie is set to be released on Aug. 5, 2016, and here are 5 things to know about the upcoming DC Comics film from its trailer, synopsis cast and evil rogue Joker.
1. Despite the fact that a low-quality version of the "Suicide Squad" movie trailer was leaked online after its Comic-Con San Diego presentation on July 11, Warner Bros. Pictures released the same footage but in high-quality.
2. "Suicide Squad" has a great ensemble cast including Will Smith (Deadshot), Jared Leto (Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adam Beach (Slipknot), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Movie Pilot noted.
Additionally, Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Common, Alex Meraz, David Harbour and Raymond Olubowale have been cast in unspecified roles.
3. The movie synopsis has emerged.
"A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency," the official synopsis reads, as per IMDB.
4. "Suicide Squad" is definitely not a Joker movie since he's not a member of the team. However, he is going to be the most intriguing and greatest villain ever, What Culture revealed. He is sick, evil and violent and he is going to enjoy every moment of it.
5. "Suicide Squad" is not a movie about Batman either. But Ben Affleck's Batman is going to make an appearance in the film, but again that's all it is - an appearance.
Meanwhile, Marvel's newest Spider-Man Tom Holland has dropped by the set of "Suicide Squad." According to Hollywood Life, Joel Kinnaman aka Rick Flagg set the whole Marvel and DC Comics fandom on fire after he posted a photo of himself, Holland and co-actor Kevin Vance on Instagram on Jul. 21. As seen in the pic, which has since been deleted, Holland armed himself with innumerable bullets and a massive gun. So, does this mean there's a potential crossover between DC and Marvel superhero worlds?
