‘Tekken 7’ LATEST UPDATE: Kazumi, Other Characters Get Idolmaster [WATCH TRAILER]; PS4 Version Release Date Delayed

Kazumi is just one of the few characters who will be receiving an idolmaster treatment for the upcoming "Tekken 7." PS4 and Xbox One users will have to wait though because the release date for the consoles will be delayed, according to Katsuhiro Harada.

Harada, director of Bandai Namco, said they are still focusing on polishing the arcade version of "Tekken 7" before releasing the console version.

The director is even encouraging the arcade players to give some feedbacks to make sure that everything is optimized — bugs and other issues are fixed — before it reaches PS4 and Xbox One, Venture Capital Post has learned.

He added that the arcade version of the game in North America will be their basis if they will add an online multiplayer feature.

It was mentioned earlier that Kazumi and other characters of "Tekken 7" will be getting an idolmaster treatment. The "other characters" being referenced are all the girls of the game — Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Asuka, Lili, Xiaoyu, Alise and Josie.

Idolmaster treatment is where titles such as "Beautiful Katamari" and "Ace Combat" are being given to the character. This is to celebrate the series turning 20 and idolmaster turning 10.

Meanwhile, Bandai Namco slammed the rumors spreading that their collaboration with Capcom to create "Tekken x Street Fighter," which was announced during San Diego Comic-con nearly five years ago, was cancelled.

Harada denied the speculations and confirmed that the game is still on track, according to Christian Today. However, he did not provide any details on when it's going to be released.

"That's not true! I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," he said.

"Tekken 7" arcade version has been released in Dave and Busters and Round One arcades for testing. For those who would like to participate in the trial, Gospel Herald listed the locations here.

The release date for PS4 and Xbox One is yet to be confirmed. For now, you can enjoy watching this trailer.

"The Idolmaster" is a life simulation game that allows players to participate in pop idol group shows of icons well-known in Japan, according to Christian Today.
