‘Iron Man 4’ Star Robert Downey Jr. Reprises Role; Stark To Battle Ten Rings Led By ‘Iron Man 3’ Villain?

Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly going to reprise his role as Tony Stark in Marvel's "Iron Man 4," according to International Business Times. The confirmation of Downey playing Tony Stark again came from director Shane Black, who opposed rumors that Ty Simpkins, the boy genius Stark met in "Iron Man 3," will be coming in as his replacement in the fourth installment.

The same website learned that a negotiation is taking place between Downey and the management regarding his talent fee. The 50-year-old actor is reportedly asking an increase to his already $50 million dollar rate, following the success of "Iron Man 3."

At this point, there is no additional information yet about the sequel of "Iron Man 3" on the International Movie Database (IMDb). However, numerous reports have already surfaced online, where Black confirmed the development of "Iron Man 4."

"Iron Man 4" is said to be released after phase three of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Venture Capital Post reported.

Meanwhile, another rumor surfaced that the red and gold superhero will be fighting the Ten Rings. This terrorist group is said to be led by The Mandarin, Tony Stark's rival in "Iron Man 3."

This organization, who kidnapped Tony Stark, made its first appearance in "Iron Man." They were the reason why Stark made his first metal suit in the first place.

The first "Iron Man" was released in 2008, which received praises from critics and audiences. It reportedly earned $585 million at the box office versus its $140 million budget.

Robert Downey Jr. did not confirm nor deny this latest news.

Contrary to "Iron Man 4" not having an official release date, its man figure suits are already set to hit the market in 2016, IGN learned.

First up is the Shotgun Armor. The 1:6 scale figure, which measures about 12 inches tall, was briefly seen in "Iron Man 3."

It also includes battle-damaged pieces and a head that looks like Downey's. It can be yours in August 2016 for $284.99.

The next figure is a 20-inch tall Mark XLV armor, which appeared during the climax of "Avengers: Age of Ultron." It will also be released in August 2016 for $549.99.

The third one is a set of Mark IX and Pepper Potts. Collectors can choose between buying just the solo Potts figure alone and the full set.

The set price is $439.99, while the Potts solo version is at $224.99.
