New Kindle Fire Expected To Have Better Display and Be Thinner

Currently second place in the tablet market, according to PC World, Amazon is doing what it can to ensure that this spot is kept. Expected to appear later this year is the next Kindle Fire which will have very appealing features, such as a better display and becoming a thinner tablet.

According to various sources, the new Amazon Kindle Fire, will be released around the same time as the rumored iPad Mini from Apple.

Amazon's newest Kindle Fire is said to have a higher resolution; a 1280-by-800-pixel resolution screen compared to the current 1024-by-600 pixel screen of the Kindle Fire. The screen size is the same as the Nexus 7 and it will give the display 216-pixel-per-inch density, showing clearer photos and sharper text, as stated by PC World. The new resolution implies that the screen will have a slightly different aspect ratio, from 1.71 to 1.60.

Consumers will have to wait and see if this new tablet will compete against Google and Apple, but with the features announced, it seems like Amazon has a decent start.

The new Kindle Fire is scheduled to be released in Q3 (third quarter).
