A trailer is up for the "Heroes Reborn" prequel, "Dark Matters." Prior to the "Dark Matters" teaser video, the clip for Tim Kring's returning series was unveiled, and it can be noticed that most of the "Heroes" original characters will be returning except for Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennet.

"Dark Matters" connects the original sci-fi drama, which ran from 2006-2010, to its sequel, according to a report from Fashion & Style. The series will run for six episodes starring Aislinn Paul of "Degrassi: The Next Generation" and the "Wolf of Wall Street" actor Henry Zebrowski.
Paul will play the role of Phoebe Frady, an "Evo" or evolved human that can manipulate light and shadows. Zebrowski will be playing Quentin Frady, who will call for Noah Bennet after his sister, Phoebe, disappeared.
While Zebrowski was booked for all 13 episodes of "Heroes Reborn," Paul's character will only have recurring roles.
"Dark Matter" can be watched when you download as it is now available on Google Play and Apple Store.
Moving on to the series itself, it appears that the story of the series sequel will center around Bennet, played by Jack Coleman. Many got excited when the trailer was released, but two of "Heroes" important characters were missing, Claire Bennet and Peter Petrelli.
In the first series, Bennet, played by Hayden Panettiere, was a cheerleader who has healing powers. Milo Ventimiglia's character, Petrelli — who, by the way, happens to be the cheerleader's biological uncle — can absorb the powers of other Evo Humans and use them.
Kring, creator of the series, explained during the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con interview with TVOverMind that the new series picks up from where it left off, which is five years ago.
In the interview, Kring said that Claire and her father, Noah, had so many discussions about revealing her powers. She was warned by her father that the world may not be accepting, and five years later, here it is — the heroes are being persecuted and the world is turning against them.
What Kring and NBC talked about is just this 13 episodes for "Heroes Reborn." The characters of Noah Bennet, Matt Parkman, Hiro Nakamura, Mohinder Suresh and the all grown up Micah Sanders were booked for the entire season, as per IMDb.
There are no words yet if there will be a season 2 and if Bennet and Petrelli are appearing any time soon. "Heroes Reborn" is slated to be released on NBC, Sept. 24.
