Alleged Shoplifter Kim Richards Admitted To Hospital Following Arrest, Rehab Stint; Family Reveals ‘Last Hope’ To Save ‘Real Housewives’ Star

Kim Richards' concerned family members have revealed their "last hope" in making things right and helping the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star get through the difficult situation she's currently in.

Us Weekly has learned that Richards' family want the "troubled" 50-year-old reality star to return to a rehab facility before things get out of hand.

An insider revealed that Kim's family fears for what could happen next now that the Bravo star has "fallen back into old habits" and has been admitted to a hospital.

Last Sunday, Richards was arrested by authorities after it was found out that she may have shoplifted a number of items from a San Fernando Valley Target in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles City Attorney said at the time that Kim Richards was claimed to have stolen over 100 items from Target. The total value of the items she allegedly took was around $612.

Richards was asked to spend the night in prison following her arrest, but she has since been released on $5,000 bail.

Psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig explained Richards' situation after the shoplifting arrest, saying: "Kim is clearly in crisis because we find that she's drinking again, she's getting arrested, she's been found to be shoplifting."

According to the Inquisitr, Dr. Ludwig added, "These are all indications that Kim is not doing well and that she's deteriorating or decompensating."

The former child actress is set to make an appearance in court on Aug. 20 despite pleading not guilty to the shoplifting charges. This is on top of her recent run-in with the law for "public intoxication, battery and resisting arrest" during an intoxicated confrontation at the Beverly Hills Hotel in April.

Following the drunken confrontation with the police, Richards reportedly checked into a couple of rehab facilities. In a July 22 interview, she even proudly shared that she loves "sobriety."

"I've always loved sobriety, and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy. I have to say, don't take this wrong, but I really wanted to go to treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home," she said at the time.

G. Monty Brinson, Richard's ex-husband, admitted that he was "in complete shock" after learning of Kim's shoplifting arrest, as per Radar Online.

He even claimed that Richards may have been wrongfully accused, saying: "She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This must be some kind of mistake."
