'The Originals' Season 3 SPOILERS: Claire Holt, Casper Zafer Return As Original Rebekah And Finn; Hayley Actress Phoebe Tonkin Hints 'Sexier' Season

"The Originals" — Fans of the original casts of the CW series will be delighted to know that they will be seeing Claire Holt as Rebekah and Casper Zafer as Finn once again in the upcoming 3rd season.

Michael Narducci, executive producer of the show, shared the exciting news to TV Guide saying that viewers should expect to see Holt and Zafer reprise their roles in the third instalment of the series.

And to save fans from much speculation on how the idea will come about, Narducci revealed that the blonde vamp's reappearance will happen in an "interesting" flashback, International Business Times has learned.

"[It's] a flashback that we've never seen before," Narducci explained. "We've always understood that the Mikaelson family, the brothers and sister, had to flee in the wake of Esther's death by Klaus' hands. Klaus blamed Mikael and said, 'We have to go. Our father is insane,' and for a very long time Mikael chased them. So wouldn't it be cool to see the family not long after that? What was their state of mind? What were their relationships like? How did they relate to one another knowing Mikael was out there somewhere, and they're relatively new vampires so what was their existence like? I think it might be surprising and interesting."

Reuniting with the Mikaelsons in the flashback is also Zafer in the person of eldest son Finn, who was last seen on "The Originals" when he was resurrected in the Season 1 finale, but was portrayed by Yusuf Gatewood. Big sis Freya (Riley Voelkel) however, drew out his soul from Vincent's body and into her talisman, according to seattlepi.com.

Meanwhile, actress Phoebe Tonkin, who plays the character of werewolf Hayley and the mother of Klaus' daughter, dished on more conflicts between her character and the Mikaelsons, TVOvermind reported.

The brunette star also hinted a "sexier" and "grittier" season this fall.

"The Originals" Season 3 will premiere Thursday Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. EDT on CW.
