E.L. James’ 'Grey: Fifty Shades Of Grey As Told by Christian' Gets Mixed Reviews From Readers — Find Out What They Have To Say

With the release of "Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian" in June, E.L. James has offered a fresh mindset on the love affair that has captivated millions of bookworms around the world.

No word yet if the latest offering in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series will be translated into the big screen.

Meanwhile, readers who have bought the book from Amazon, have given their reviews and the results were a mix of those who were thrilled about reading Christian Grey's perspective and those who felt nothing new has been offered by E.L. James.

Bernadette Zajicek wrote, "I've read the original series. I think having Christian's view of circumstances gives me, as a woman, a clearer look into what he experiences and how his thought process differs from Anastasia's. I look forward to his input in the next two books in the series. His thoughts on his relationship and how it all meshes into one story. It isn't often that you can see one story from both psyches."

As for DVV, "I hope she follows this up with the sequels from Grey's perspective!!!! I couldn't put this book down!!!! Magnificent book!!"

"Totally love this book. Even though I obviously read Fifty Shades of Grey, this feels like I am reading a totally different book. Can't wait for the next book," bbwife31 remarked.

Charlotte A. Jenkins rated it five stars and shared the book has an "amazing perspective."

Meanwhile, Christine Stichbury commented that the book was "A little boring after having read the trilogy."

"Same as fifty shades. Not much to add. Author could have been more creative and include more details of Grey's life," Carolina added.

While Kindle Customer rated the book with one star and said, "Grey offers nothing new. Having read the complete Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy, I recommend skipping this "teaser" and going straight to the beginning Fifty Shades of Grey . From the beginning, Grey conjures the feeling of 'I've been here before' but who can resist the lure to getting more of Christian Grey? This time there is no more but rather much of the same so I ask why not leave well enough alone."

As for Michelle Green, she wrote, "I was a little disappointed. It was pretty much a repeat of what was in the first book and didn't dive into Christian deep enough. Also ended too abruptly."

Author E.L. James paid homage to her beloved fictitious male blackguard, Christian Grey, when she released the fourth book in her "Fifty Shades of Grey" series on his birthday, early Thursday morning of June 18.

"Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian," which was told from the outlook of the titular business mogul, has placed number one for pre-order book this year on Kindle, and the book will grow into an instant publishing hit when the ebook gets released at the bewitching hour, U.S. time.

The Guardian reported E.L.James fans' in New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong, where "Grey" was already released to the market, have already defined it "perfect" on social media.

James said she was motivated by her fans who had requested her to disclose Grey's point of view of his steamy relationship with Anastasia Steele, a naive college student.

At the end of "Fifty Shades Freed," E. L. James' third book, she had already teased the readers with a chapter of Grey's narrative.

"Christian is a complex character," said James "and readers have always been fascinated by his desires and motivations."

In related news, Movie News Guide reported that "Fifty Shades Darker" may be postponed as word came in that Jaime Dornan might be taking a break in filming to appease his wife's distress over co-star Dakota Johnson with whom he will have more sex scenes with.

Production was said to start from the New Year but that might change because of Dornan's leave from filming.

Fans of "Fifty Shades Darker" can only hope that the issue between Jaime Dornan and his wife, Amelia Warner will be sorted out.
