PlayStation 4 owners, who at the same time are PlayStation Plus subscribers, were given by Sony the capability to vote for which game should come free in September, according to IT World.
To vote, the user will need to log in to the PlayStation Store on his PlayStation 4. Then, he needs to go to the PlayStation Plus section.
For the benefit of others who are new to it, PlayStation Plus is a service prerequisite, so that a player can play online games on the PS4. It also gives discounts and free games PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita.
There are three games to choose from, and whichever game gets the most number of votes between Aug. 13 and Aug. 24 will be the next month's freebie. The three games for this month are "Armello," "Grow Home" and "Zombie Vikings."
The other two games that will not be chosen will be offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers at a discounted rate.
Meanwhile, Sony has initiated its beta 3.0 update for PS4 firmware. Tech Times learned, Wednesday, that there are some lucky gamers in Japan who reportedly underwent pre-released beta-testing.
It is not yet known when the testing will end, and when will it hit the U.S. market.
There are some exciting features that will be added in the version 3.0 update. One of the testers in Japan leaked the details, which Gematsu translated.
With the new PlayStation 4 system software, YouTube broadcasting and uploading video clips on Twitter are now possible. Events was added to the Main Menu, while Community has been added under Friends.
Now Playing, which will allow the users to see the list of what's playing and request to view the gameplay of a user, has been also added.
Miscellaneous adds the newly improved Blu-ray Disc/DVD player, which now supports the accessibility feature. A sub account for a child or minor had been allowed, but it has to be done in the New User, from the user selection screen.
Settings for web filtering can also be adjusted under Parental Control.
