Full Set Of Windows 10 Updates Released; Learn How To Use Cloud-Based OneNote On Microsoft’s Latest OS

Microsoft has just released a full set of updates for users of its newest Windows 10 operating system.

This marks the third cumulative update roll out ever since the company launched the latest Windows platform in July.

According to Tech Crunch, the set includes previous updates released by Microsoft in the past. So, for those who haven't updated their Windows 10 devices yet, they will be able to catch up with Microsoft's latest releases through the package.

As explained by Microsoft, the set includes fixes and patches for previous updates. Also, if the operating system detects that its firmware already has some of the updates from the package, it will not download those anymore.

"Windows 10 updates are cumulative," Microsoft wrote in its support page. "Therefore, this package contains all previously released fixes. If you have previous updates installed, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer."

As already explained in previous reports, the latest firmware upgrade is part of Microsoft's forced update system for all Windows 10 devices. This method has been heavily criticized by users especially after a previous update caused computers to get stuck in a continuous crash loop, Forbes reported.

Despite its undesirable features, the latest version of the Windows platform still has a few helpful tools for its users. One of these is Microsoft's OneNote app. Being a cloud-based program, this program can be used on various platforms such as Android, Windows Phone and Apple's iOS. OneNote users can also share information across their devices using this app, according to Digital Trends.

In the Windows 10, the OneNote can be accessed through the subscription-based Office 365 system.

But, even without this service, users can still use OneNote for their Windows 8 or Windows 10 devices by simply downloading its free app version.

Opening the OneNote will display an interface with various features. It has a Notebook, which organizes files as Pages. The Notebook feature functions like folders that are typically found on the desktop.

Clicking on the top-portion of the Page will allow users to create a title with the date and time for the file. They can then use it to take down notes, write down reminders or make a journal entry.

Once a user starts typing into a Page, it will automatically appear on all devices, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop, that have the OneNote app installed.
