iOS 9 Top Features: Wi-Fi, Split-View & Mind-Reading Predictive Siri Coming To Apple Devices

Even though the iOS 9's expected release date is only a couple of weeks away, users are already starting to get an idea of the features of Apple's latest software version through various leaks.

As detailed in various reports, the iOS 9 will come with a variety of features that are geared toward providing users with a dynamic interface.

One of these highly anticipated features is the Split View mode. Through this, users will be able to multitask on their iPads by being able to use two different apps side-by-side or at the same time, according to iSchool Guide.

Another feature, which has the same purpose as Split View, is the Slide Over. This mode displays apps on top of each other instead of showing them next to one another like in Split View.

Aside from these, the latest version of Apple's operating system for mobile devices will also come with the Wi-Fi Assist feature.

According to the Daily Mail, through this feature, iOS 9 devices will be able to automatically switch between Wi-Fi and cellular connection. As explained by the news site, once the software detects that the device is connected to a poor Wi-Fi network, it will immediately activate mobile data.

Through this feature, users will be able to continue enjoying their online activities without the hassle of unstable or poor connections.

Lastly, Apple has already confirmed that the iOS 9 will come with an improved Siri, Predictive Siri, the company's virtual personal assistant. But aside from answering general questions and organizing calendar entries, Apple has programmed Siri to analyze the daily activities of iPhone users.

According to The Next Web, the Predictive Siri mode is designed to remember the apps that a user commonly opens. For instance, for those who like to use the Soundcloud music app on a regular basis, Predictive Siri will automatically ask them if they would like to run the program once the device is opened or if headphones are plugged in.

This feature also applies to other apps such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. Aside from daily activities, Predictive Siri also associates the use of certain apps with current locations of users.

So, if some users always open YouTube every time they're in the subway, they will have the option to access it once Siri detects that they're at that location.
