‘iZombie' Season 2: Liv's Secret Is Out, Major's Storyline Changes; Is There Still Hope For The On-screen Ex-couple?

"iZombie" season 1 ended with Liv's, who's played by Rose McIver, secret finally out. Meanwhile, executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright said that there will be changes to the storyline of Major, played by Robert Buckley.

Now, the question is, will that change in storyline affect Major and Liv's relationship? Is there still hope for the on-screen exes?

It appears that Ruggiero-Wright dropped some clues in her interview with Hollywood Life. When she was asked if there's hope in Liv and Major's relationship, she said, "There better be! How could you not?"

"I really think that there is potential for them," she added. "There's hope, definitely."

Fans have been waiting for these deets about the ex-couple of "iZombie." Amid the thought of how the development in their relationship would be presented, Fashion&Style learned that the production team isn't going to be very "schmuck-baity" about it.

The producer said that they were not the type that will just jerk people around. If their relationship ends, it ends, and if they get back together, she said it's going to be for a good reason.

Meanwhile, Ruggiero-Wright said that Major will be pissed in the beginning of "iZombie" Season 2. Design&Trend found out that he still has this legitimate gripe, and with all honesty, the producer said that it would take some time for him to get past it.

In addition, his character will get even more different in the new season. A lot of interesting things are coming, but the producer can't divulge any specific details about it.

The same goes with Liv's. The producer explained that in the first season, the pressure on her character was all about keeping the secret.

"There's going to be new, more active, pressure on her," she teased on how the second season of "iZombie" is going to play out for Liv. "I can't be specific about it, but it's going to be her in a preventing crimes mode, also.

"iZombie" season 2 will return to CW on Oct. 6.
