Remastered 'Gears Of War' Reviewed: 'Ultimate Edition' Features New 'Mad World' Trailer [WATCH]

"Gears of War" was originally paired with "Mad World" of Gary Jules. The combination was just perfect that it became popular and best-selling, making Microsoft's Xbox 360 console a must-have.

The company launched the trailer of "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" with the same tune in the background. The trailer had the same beginning, but it eventually deviated from the original.

Additional footage was shown from the first game and three others in the series, including the other sequels and "Gears of War: Judgment." "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" is the second Xbox One exclusive remastered for release in August.

Nearly ten years from its original release, the brand new game brings the original one and the 1080p resolution to PC and Xbox One. Mashable learned that "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" added new missions.

In addition, players will be able to unlock the digital-download versions of the other "Gears of War" on Xbox One. The console's backward compatibility feature will make the original Xbox 360 versions be playable.

We see a lot of remastered games nowadays, especially for known games — for example "God of War." According to Forbes, remastered games are the easiest way to market and give the appearance of backward compatibility, a functionality which Xbox One apparently has, compared with PlayStation Now.

The first installment of the franchise was released on Nov. 7, 2006. The second and third installments were released in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

"Gears of War: Judgment," a prequel to the series' first title, was released in 2013.

"Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," a prelude to "Gears of War 4," will be released on Aug. 25. The Metro anticipated that the new sequel would bring a "Band of Brothers" feel, which the original game is supposed to have, but based on the released E3 footage, it seems it fell short of the expectations.
