'Finding Dory' Update: Ellen Degeneres Unable To Voice As Dory? [RUMORS]

The announcement of "Finding Dory" brought excitement to kids and kids-at-heart. While fans are waiting for the movie's launch, news about Ellen Degeneres not being able to voice as Dory is going around the Internet. Is there any truth to this?

Definitely none, but the award-winning host was worried about the long wait for the "Finding Nemo" sequel, International Business Times revealed. According to the site, DeGeneres was worried that her voice might change so she might not be able to play the forgetful blue tang. Notably, she cited that she might sound like Lauren Bacall but announced a disclaimer afterwards.

"And I love Lauren Bacall. That's not a slam to her," she said.

Fortunately, the production team just asked the host to be herself while portraying Dory. The 57-year-old host said that it was not hard playing her character on the previous film and for the upcoming sequel.

On the other hand, DeGeneres, along with the cast of "Finding Dory" attended the recent Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim to promote the film.

She took the stage to introduce the movie's cast as well, MovieFone reported. Actor Ed O'Neill will voice "Hank the Octopus," Ty Burrell as "Bailey the Beluga Whale," Kaitlin Olson as "Destiny the Whale Shark," and Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy as "Jenny and Charlie," respectively, Dory's parents.

Aside from the cast, DeGeneres teased the audience and revealed some parts of the movie.  "Finding Dory" basically tells the adventures of Dory in finding her biological parents.

Luckily, the crowd was able to witness the official movie trailer, but the first photo of the film was posted on the site for the readers to take a look. Its official trailer will be available for the public soon.

Meanwhile, it is not just the "Finding Nemo" sequel that was being teased during the Expo. CNBC reported that "Toy Story 4" is on its way. The source said that the 4th movie might be a love story between Woody and Bo Beep. Well, let us keep our eyes open about the latest updates.

"Finding Dory" kicks off in cinemas on June 17, 2016.
