Dakota Johnson has showbiz blood running in her veins being the offspring of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, of the famed TV series in the 80s, "Miami Vice." As per IMDb, she had her debut as an actress in "Crazy Alabama" in 1999, where she appeared alongside half-sister Stella Banderas. She left a mark in the viewers consciousness as the naive Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of E.L. James "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"Black Mass" - the movie set for release in Sept. 18 was described by IMDb as the true story of the most despicable and violent criminal in South Boston's history, Whitey Bulger, who also happened to be a state senator's brother. He later allied with FBI to serve as their informant in order to topple down a Mafia family taking over his territory. Dakota Johnson stars as Lindsey Cyr.
"A Bigger Splash" - directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film also includes talented actors Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes. Dakota Johnson's role, Penelope, is the daughter of Fiennes' character Harry, as per IMDb.
"How To Be Single" - is set for release in Feb 12, 2016. Dakota Johnson plays Alice alongside Rebel Wilson of "Pitch Perfect" in this romance-comedy flick.
"Fifty Shades Darker" - Dakota Johnson will reprise her role as Anastasia Steele in the sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" which became a big hit this year thanks to fans of the erotic genre novel by author E.L. James.
"Fifty Shades Freed" - Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will come back for the third film in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy. Fans will have to watch out if their sex scenes would live up to what was described in the book.

On the other end, reports coming from Deadline revealed that a new director, James Foley, will possibly come on board to take over the post vacated by "Fifty Shades of Grey" director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who reportedly left because of differing opinions with book author E.L. James.
