One Direction To Split For ‘At Least A Year’; Shattered Fans React on Social Media [SHOCKING NEWS]

Sunday night broke the hearts of millions of One Direction Fans worldwide as the band is rumored to part ways for "at least a year" on March 2016, following former fifth member Zayn Malik's decision to leave the group five months ago.

E! News confirmed through their sources that the British hearthrobs are taking a hiatus to focus on working with their individual projects but they still envision working together in the future.

While the Independent said that a statement from the British group's official spokesperson neither confirmed nor denied the rumor as "they do not comment on mere speculations," much of the heartbreaking news is feared to be apparent as weeks ago, Liam Payne has expressed his belief that the band was in desperate need of some of their time out, Mail Online recounted.

The boys have been together for five years since 2010 when judges Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger grouped them together in "X-Factor U.K." They placed third in said competition and were immediately signed with a contract.

In the same report, Mail Online said that Payne, 21, wants to write some music for other artists and spend some time back in the U.K. Another source also said that the singer, who is dating childhood friend Sophia Smith, is interested in entering a career as a DJ.

On the other hand, producer Harry Weinstein has said in an interview that he has offered Harry Styles a movie but the singer had to decline due to prior 1D commitments. Weinstein predicts that Styles' star quality potential would manage to shine whether the 21 year-old chooses to continue his career as a solo artist or enter Hollywood as an actor.

Meanwhile, soon-to-be dad Louis Tomlinson is reportedly coming back to X- Factor as a judge and will be taking a role in Sony's search for female girl group, Be in the Band 2015.

As for 21 year-old Nial Horan, sources have confirmed the singer's interest in collaborating with pop prince and media favorite Justin Bieber.

"Directioners," the boyband's fans, have bombarded social media with their respective reactions regarding the band's split early next year expressing their hopes that the rumors would be denied by the members themselves.
