'Justice League' Movie Director Zack Snyder To Be Replaced By George Miller? 'Batman V Superman' Will Lay The Foundation For The DC Cinematic Universe


"Justice League" movie's latest developments include that George Miller may replace Snyder as the director of the movie. Meanwhile, "Batman V Superman" lays the foundation of the movie.

"Justice League" movie is underway and has made comic book fans excited. It was recently announced that a film featuring DC Comics' greatest superheroes are coming to the big screen together.

This move by Warner Brothers and DC Comics is set to compete against Marvel Comics' shared universe, particularly its "Avengers" franchise. The trend of shared universe has recently achieved hype over the years ever since Marvel Studious started this move.

Henry Cavill, the actor who plays Superman, talked about some of the film's details during his guesting at the "Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" the Movie News Guide has learned.

Cavill said that the live action "Justice League" movie will be starting its pre-production in Jan. 2016 and will premiere on 2017.

"Justice League" of course, will come after the movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" which is expected to lay the foundation of DC Comics shared universe. Along with Cavill's Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman are also going to be featured in the film.

Batman and Superman may be one of the most anticipated team-ups in movie history. However, according to Movie Pilot, the "Justice League" movie nearly happened even before Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel. The director of the said movie was none other than Mad Max: Fury Road director, George Miller. Talks about the said film was made but eventually it went to development hell and was subsequently scrapped in favor of Snyder.

According to We Got This Covered website, Snyder has announced that the script for the "Justice League: Part One" is already complete. The said script is the result of a collaborative effort between Snyder and Academy Award Winner screenwriter, Chris Terrio of "Argo" fame.

The director also explained the process that he and Terrio undergoes wherein he stated that "Chris would talk and I would draw it, and it was basically this weird mural of the movies with no words."

With the script already finished, this ambitious project will soon hit the big screen. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere on March 25, 2016 while the "Justice League" movie on Nov. 17, 2017.
